Buy a HAMGEEK SDR development board for radio engineering experiments
HAMGEEK - specializes in the development and production of affordable and high-performance software-defined radio (SDR) platforms. The company creates functional analogues of popular solutions such as USRP B210 and PlutoSDR, making advanced technologies accessible to engineers, researchers and developers.
HAMGEEK products are designed for radio technology research, communications system prototyping, spectrum analysis, and integration into unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and robotics. The brand offers a wide range of models: from budget boards based on Zynq7010 for beginners to powerful solutions with FPGA Spartan-6 and power amplifiers for professional tasks.
- Wide frequency range from 70 MHz to 6 GHz for any radio engineering tasks.
- Up to 56 MHz bandwidth for high-speed data transfer.
- Supports MIMO 2x2 mode for simultaneous transmission and reception of signals.
- Compatible with GNU Radio, MATLAB, SDR# and other development environments.
- Open architecture and accessible source code for customization and rapid prototyping.
How the HAMGEEK Zynq7020+AD9363 SDR board works
The board is based on the Xilinx Zynq-7020 system-on-chip (SoC). It combines two ARM Cortex-A9 cores with a frequency of 766 MHz and an FPGA with 85 thousand logic elements. The AD9363 transceiver (software replaceable with AD9361) is used as an RF interface, supporting frequencies from 70 MHz to 6 GHz and a bandwidth of up to 20 MHz.
The board is equipped with 1 GB DDR3 memory, Gigabit Ethernet, USB 2.0 and USB Type-C ports, an SD card slot and SMA connectors for connecting antennas. High-precision clock generator with 0.5 ppm accuracy ensures frequency stability. The device supports power via USB Type-C and is equipped with active cooling for intensive operation.
Technical characteristics and functionality
The HAMGEEK lineup includes several versions of the board, differing in configuration and capabilities. The basic version of Zynq7020+AD9363 provides a frequency range of 70 MHz - 6 GHz and a bandwidth of up to 20 MHz. Power amplifier (PA) version increases power output for long distance operation. The P210 offers improved performance: 0.5 ppm clock, Type-C interface and ZED-FMCOMMS2-3/Openwifi/Pluto SDR support.
The flagship E310 model uses the AD9361 chip with up to 56 MHz bandwidth and supports multi-transceiver synchronization. All boards are compatible with a wide range of software: IIO Oscilloscope, SDR Sharp, GNU Radio, MATLAB, SDRangel, DragonOS. The devices are suitable for remote sensing, radar, digital broadcasting, Zigbee and Wi-Fi applications.
