Operating principle and design features

The iFlight X-Type 5″ frame is the supporting base for a 5″ racing or freestyle drone. The classic X-shape with a diagonal distance between motors of 210 mm ensures perfect symmetry and controllability.

Thickened 5.5mm high-quality carbon fiber arms provide high bending and torsional rigidity, which is critical for sharp maneuvers. The three-layer design of the central part (2mm thick top and bottom plates plus additional posts) creates a closed compartment 25mm high.

The flight controller, ESC and receiver are located inside. The diameter of the motor mounting holes is 6 mm (standard for 5-inch motors). The camera mount is made to the 14x14 mm standard, which is compatible with most FPV cameras. The frame dimensions of 148x148x51 mm ensure compactness and a low center of gravity.
