How the Commando 8 Nano remote works
The remote uses the open source ExpressLRS protocol. It provides high refresh rates and minimal latency. Built-in ELRS 2.4 GHz 100 mW module and external folding antenna provide reliable reception over long distances. Hall effect sticks convert position into an electrical signal without mechanical wear. This operating principle guarantees durability and high accuracy. Connection to a computer for simulator training is via USB-C.
Technical characteristics and functionality
The remote control is equipped with an STM32F303RCT6 microcontroller and an SX1281 radio chip. The operating frequency is 2.4 GHz with a transmitter power of 100 mW. The foldable antenna expands the signal coverage area. Built-in 1S2P 1100 mAh battery with 18350 cells provides up to 6 hours of battery life. Charging via Type-C 5V 2A takes about 50 minutes.
On the top panel there are two three-position and two two-position switches. The remote control supports connection to popular simulators without additional adapters. Control is via simple button combinations rather than complex menus. The process of pairing with the receiver is performed by holding the power button.
