Choose the powerful Holybro Kakute H7 V1.5 flight controller for industrial UAVs

Holybro is a Chinese brand founded in 2014. The company specializes in flight controllers and accessories for drones. The range includes Pixhawk 4, Pixhawk 6C, Durandal, Kakute H7 and F7. Holybro produces power modules, GPS, telemetry and ESC. The products are widely used in industrial and racing UAVs.

  • Processor STM32H743 with a frequency of 480 MHz.
  • ICM-42688-P gyroscope for precise stabilization.
  • BEC 9V 3A power for digital VTX.
  • Built-in Bluetooth for setup from your phone.
  • ArduPilot, Betaflight and INAV support.

How the Kakute H7 flight controller works

The board is powered by a 3-8S battery (up to 42 V). BEC 5V/2A powers the receiver and LEDs. BEC 9V/3A powers DJI O3/O4 or Caddx Vista. The processor processes data from the ICM-42688-P gyroscope. PID algorithms calculate adjustments for ESC. The OSD overlays telemetry on the video signal. You control the drone and see the parameters in the glasses.

Technical characteristics and functionality

The Kakute H7 V1.5 model is built on an STM32H743 processor (32 bits, 480 MHz). An ICM-42688-P gyroscope/accelerometer on the SPI bus is used. The SPA06 barometer measures altitude. OSD AT7456E works via SPI. A microSD card slot (Blackbox) records flight data. Number of UART ports: 6 (UART1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7). Input voltage 3-8S LiPo (up to 42 volts). BEC 5V outputs 2 amps, BEC 9V outputs 3 amps for digital VTX.

Built-in Bluetooth ESP32-C3 module for configuration via the SpeedyBee application. Analog and digital video systems are supported (DJI O3/O4, Caddx Vista). Board size 35x35 mm. Mounting holes 30.5Ă—30.5 mm. The controller weighs 8 grams. Compatible firmware: Betaflight (4.5.2+), ArduPilot (4.2.0+), INAV (4.0.0+). Includes: board, vibration damping pads, cables for ESC and DJI/Caddx video transmitters.

The controller is ideal for heavy drones and racing models. High processor performance is needed for complex algorithms. Powerful 9V BEC consistently powers digital video systems. Bluetooth simplifies setup in the field without a computer.
