Operating principle and design of the controller
The PKF4 v1.3 flight controller is the central control device for the quadcopter. It receives data from gyroscope, accelerometer and barometer sensors. The processor processes this information and the pilot's commands from the console. Based on complex algorithms, the controller calculates the required speed of each motor. Control signals are transmitted to ESC controllers via PWM or DShot protocols.
Structurally, the controller is made on a compact board measuring 38x38 mm. This is the standard size for mounting on most modern FPV frames. The weight of the device is only 10 grams, which does not weigh down the design of the drone. The supply voltage can range from 12 to 28 Volts. This allows it to be used with 3S-6S batteries without additional converters.
Technical characteristics and functionality
Study the detailed parameters of the PKF4 v1.3 flight controller. It is based on the AT32F435 microcontroller, which provides high computing speed. The BMI270 inertial module includes a 3-axis gyroscope and a 3-axis accelerometer. The built-in barometer allows you to accurately determine your flight altitude.
To connect motors, 4 PWM/DShot channels are provided for ESC. Additionally, there are 2 PWM outputs for controlling actuators. These may be servos, load release mechanisms, spotlights or other devices. Six UART interfaces allow you to connect GPS, video transmitter, receiver and other equipment. The I2C bus is for external sensors and displays.
The built-in OSD overlays telemetry directly onto the video signal. Power supply for peripheral devices is provided through two BECs: 10 Volts with a current of 1.5 A and 5 Volts with a current of 2.0 A. Betaflight software provides extensive customization options to suit any flying style.
Areas of application and operation
The MVM-AVIA PKF4 v1.3 flight controller is ideal for racing FPV drones. It performs well on freestyle copters and light cargo vehicles. Thanks to the abundance of interfaces and powerful BEC, it is suitable for complex projects with a large number of peripherals. Additional PWM outputs allow the integration of load release systems, as in the BeastFPV models. The built-in barometer is useful for flights along a given route.
The popular and intuitive Betaflight software is used for setup. The installation and configuration process is standard for controllers of this class. Domestic production guarantees availability and service support.
