Operating principle and design features

The SURPASS HOBBY S2808 motor belongs to the class of brushless motors with an external rotor (Outrunner). The configuration of 12 stator coils and 14 rotor magnets (12N14P) ensures high torque and smooth operation. Thanks to the 28x8mm stator, the engine efficiently rotates propellers with a diameter of 7-9 inches.

The internal resistance of the windings is 0.059 Ohm, which reduces energy loss. The no-load current of 1.2 A indicates good efficiency. The motor is designed for 7-15V power supply (2-4S LiPo). The maximum power of 350 W is achieved at a current of 35 A. The motor is ideal for aircraft weighing 500-1200 g and for quadcopters with 7-8 inch propellers.
