How the Fluke 2062 Cable Finder Works
The transmitter (2000T) is connected to the circuit under test and generates a signal at a frequency of 6.25 kHz or 32.768 kHz. The receiver (2062R) picks up this signal and displays its strength on the screen, helping you pinpoint the wire's location. The patented Smart Sensorâ„¢ simplifies the process, making tracing fast and intuitive. The i400 current clamp allows you to identify cables without breaking the circuit, measuring current up to 400 A.
Technical characteristics and functionality
The 2062R receiver is equipped with a 3.5-inch TFT LCD color display with a resolution of 480x320 pixels. It displays signal strength in digital and bar format and also provides an audible alarm. Operates on four AA batteries for up to 20 hours. The 2000T transmitter has three operating modes: high, low and loop, which allows you to adapt the signal strength to a specific task.
It is powered by eight AA batteries and is surge protected up to 8 kV. The i400 clamp meter is rated up to 400A with a base accuracy of 2%. The entire set comes in a durable case for protection and easy transport.
