The essence of the work and the principle of communication
The receiver receives 2.4 GHz radio signals from your remote control. It decodes the information encoded in them. These are signals about the position of sticks, toggle switches and other controls. It then converts this data into standard pulses (PWM or PPM). These pulses are transmitted through wires to the drone's flight controller. The controller interprets them and adjusts the operation of the motors.
Technical characteristics and applications
The Flysky FS-FGR4S receiver is very compact. Its dimensions are approximately 40x20x10 mm, and its weight is about 5 grams. The operating voltage is in the range from 3.5V to 10V. This allows you to connect it directly to the flight controller from 5V. It has 4 connectors for standard servo cables (PWM outputs).
It is an excellent choice for micro and mini FPV and Whoop class drones. It is also ideal for small aircraft and helicopters. The receiver easily integrates with popular flight controller boards. Requires a compatible transmitter, such as the Flysky FS-i6. Its communication range in open space reaches 500-700 meters.
Installation is easy thanks to its low weight and rugged housing. Secure it to the frame using double-sided tape. Try to place the antenna away from power wires and carbon. This will minimize possible interference from the drone's electronics. The setup comes down to a simple binding procedure.
Press the Bind button on the receiver while the power is on. Go to the binding menu on your Flysky remote. In a few seconds the devices will be securely connected. Check that all channels are working correctly in the controller settings. Make sure the sticks and switches respond correctly.
