Operating principle and key features
SkyRC E680 is an intelligent microprocessor charger that automatically controls the charging and discharging process. It operates both from a household AC power supply of 100-240V and from a DC source of 11-18V, for example, from a car battery in the field.
Built-in independent balancer with 300 mA current per cell ensures perfect voltage equalization across all lithium battery banks. Nickel batteries use the delta peak charging method, while lithium and lead batteries use the CC-CV (constant current/constant voltage) algorithm.
The device is equipped with a 2x16 LCD text display and simple four-button controls for easy menu navigation. The built-in efficient cooling system with an 8000-rpm fan maintains optimal temperatures even under maximum loads. The TVC (Terminal Voltage Control) feature allows advanced users to change the final charge voltage to fine-tune the process . Multiple built-in protections shut down the process if a fault is detected, the temperature is exceeded, or the established time and capacity limits are exceeded.
Technical characteristics and functionality
Explore the detailed parameters of SkyRC E680. The device supports LiPo/LiFe/LiIon/LiHV batteries 1-6S, NiMH/NiCd 1-15S and Pb 2-20V lead batteries. Charge power 80 W, discharge power 10 W. The charge current is adjustable from 0.1 to 8 A, discharge current from 0.1 to 2 A.
The following modes are available for lithium batteries: balancing charge, normal charge, fast charge, discharge and storage mode. For nickel, there are modes of normal and automatic charging, discharging, re-peak (Re-peak) and cycling up to 5 cycles. For lead, standard mode, AGM mode and cold mode for operation at low temperatures are available.
The device has a built-in DC power supply with an output voltage of 13.8 V and a power of 10 to 80 W. This allows it to be used to power LED lamps, tire heaters, engine testers and other equipment in the pit lane. Device dimensions 135x110x60 mm, weight 390 g. The kit includes a charger, a C7 power cable, an XT60-Banana cable, a cable with alligator clips, an XH balancing board and instructions.
Areas of application and operation
The SkyRC E680 charger is ideal for FPV drone pilots using 2S-6S batteries. A special mode for DJI Mavic (with an optional cable) allows you to charge the batteries of popular quadcopters with up to 4 A, which is faster than standard charging.
The internal resistance measurement function will help identify worn-out banks and promptly replace degraded batteries. Storage mode automatically brings batteries to a safe voltage, extending their service life. And the built-in power supply is always useful for soldering or lighting in the field.
