Operating principle and technical details

Charger ISDT K2 ZIP is a complex system packed into a minimal volume. It receives power from the USB-C port using the Power Delivery (PD) protocol. The device “negotiates” with the source the required voltage (up to 20V). An internal, highly efficient converter creates the parameters needed for charging. The two channels are controlled by their own controllers, but are synchronized with each other.

For each connected LiPo battery, the CC/CV algorithm runs. In parallel, an active balancing circuit operates on both channels. It constantly compares the voltage of the cells and redistributes energy between them. ISDT K2 ZIP also automatically detects the type and number of battery cells. This minimizes the risk of user error and simplifies the process.
