How the Walksnail Ascent VRX digital video receiver works
The receiver picks up a digital radio signal from the video transmitter (VTX) of the Ascent system in the range of 5.725–5.829 GHz. It decodes the signal and outputs the image via the HDMI port in resolutions up to 1080p at 60 frames per second. Two omnidirectional antennas with left-hand circular polarization (LHCP) and a radiation efficiency of more than 97% ensure minimal signal loss and reliable reception at a distance of up to 6 km.
Built-in microSD card slot allows you to record live video without external DVR. Power is supplied via a DC 5.5×2.1 mm coaxial connector with a voltage of 7.4–25.2 V, which allows it to be connected to 2–6S batteries.
The receiver supports a high frame rate mode of 720p at 120 fps to reduce latency, which is especially useful in dynamic flights. Fully customizable OSD menus and Canvas Mode support provide seamless Betaflight and INAV OSD integration.
