Operating principle and design
KST SV5006-12 is a digital SHV (Super High Voltage) servo drive based on advanced 4-pole brushless motor technology. Unlike traditional motors, this design provides significantly higher response speed, efficiency and durability with minimal energy consumption. The high-precision digital controller processes the signal at a frequency of 333 Hz (1520 µs), ensuring exceptional accuracy and smooth movement without jerking.
The rugged CNC aluminum body not only adds rigidity to the structure, but also turns the body into an efficient heatsink that dissipates heat from the powerful motor and electronics . The reinforced HLS (High Life Span) gearbox made of hardened steel with six ball bearings guarantees durability and resistance to shock loads inevitable during hard landings of drones and off-road driving, maintaining a play-free design even after long-term use. The housing has IP65 protection, which ensures reliable operation in dusty and wet conditions.

The servo is not completely waterproof, but is IP65 splash and dust resistant . To power the servo drive at a maximum voltage of 13V, it is recommended to use specialized power distribution systems (PowerBox) that support high voltage, for example, the PowerBox Competition SHV, which allows you to power the servos directly from 3S LiPo . The ability to program parameters, including the Soft Start function, allows you to precisely tailor its operation to specific tasks, be it a smooth opening of the reset lock or aggressive positioning of the gimbal
