Ulan-Ude Instrument-Making Production Association (U-UPPO) is one of the largest aviation instrument-making enterprises in Russia. How does the ED-8012 engine work?
The motor is connected to an ESC regulator rated for a current of up to 40 A. When a voltage of 48 V is applied to the windings, a rotating magnetic field is created. The rotor with permanent magnets begins to rotate. The maximum rotation speed is 4800 rpm. The engine produces up to 11 kg of thrust, lifting heavy drones. The absence of brushes ensures durability and low energy consumption.
