Choose a reliable spider for the two-bladed propeller of your aircraft drone!
Assemble a powerful propeller for your tasks. The cross connector rigidly connects two separate blades on the motor shaft. This allows you to create propellers with the optimal diameter and pitch for your model. Durable aluminum alloy ensures durability and lightness.
- Individual traction adjustment: Allows you to combine blades for the perfect propeller for your engine and model.
- Durable all-metal body: The rigid connection accurately transmits torque from the engine.
- Versatility of installation for different shafts: 5-8mm mounting hole fits most brushless motors.
- Stability and balance: Uniform distribution of centrifugal forces reduces vibrations.
- Easy blade replacement: Possibility of quickly replacing a damaged blade without dismantling the entire power plant.
How this connector works and its features
The cross connector is a transition element between the engine shaft and the propeller blades. It is tightly fixed to the motor shaft using locking screws. Two grooves at an angle of 180 degrees firmly hold the blades, ensuring their synchronous rotation. This design allows you to flexibly select blades for specific flight tasks.
For heavy aircraft, you can install wide blades with a large pitch, and for high-speed flights, narrower ones. This is an advantage over ready-made non-separable screws.
The crosspiece is made of high-strength aluminum alloy, which guarantees long service life and resistance to vibration. The central part has holes for mounting screws, ensuring reliable fixation on the shaft. The connector design allows the use of blades from various manufacturers, making it a universal solution.
Specifications and installation
| Characteristics | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Number of blades | 2 |
| Material | Aviation aluminum |
| Shaft diameter (mm) | 5 / 6 / 8 |
| Hub diameter (mm) | 20–30 |
| Weight (g) | 15–25 |
Before installation, make sure that the diameter of the connector mounting hole matches the shaft of your motor. Tighten the locking screws evenly to avoid wobbling. Always check the balance of the assembled propeller before first flight. To secure the blades, use fasteners recommended by the manufacturer.
Applications for model aircraft and drones
The cross connector is indispensable when building experimental and large-scale replicas of aircraft. It allows you to use powerful brushless motors with homemade or modified blades. Widely used on aerobatic models and heavy gliders.
