Operating principle and technical details

Charger ISDT NP2 Air 25W is a high-tech mini-computer for charging. Through the USB-C port, it communicates with the power source using the Power Delivery (PD) protocol. The device “asks” the source for the required voltage (up to 20V) to charge a specific battery. Having received power, the internal high-frequency DC-DC converter starts working.

For LiPo batteries, an intelligent algorithm based on CC/CV is applied. The device continuously analyzes the voltage of each cell through the balancing connector. An active balancing circuit redistributes energy between banks. This is the most effective method. ISDT NP2 Air can also work in storage mode. It automatically charges or discharges the LiPo to the ideal storage voltage of 3.85V per bank.
